Jan Czechowski
Jan Czechowski graduated with Masters Degree in Theoretical Physics from Warsaw University. Moved to Munich in 2019. With over five years of experience in software development and data science roles currently works as an AI Engineer for Check24. Interested in aligning large language models with human preferences, autonomous agents based on LLMs and interpreting the inner workings of transformer-based AI. In MAIA, Jan organizes the reading group and is always happy to talk to people interested in our community.
Christopher Chan
Providing support and administration for MAIA, Chris is a Research Associate at the Odyssean Institute working in the intersection of nuclear risks, Global Catastrophic Risks, and AI. He holds a BSc. (hons) in Geography from the University of Edinburgh and a M.Sc. in Earth Observation from the JMU Würzburg. Chris had previous research experience in applying Computer Vision Deep Learning for AI-assisted mapping of refugee camps for the NGO Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team.
